Columbus Farm Festival

2nd Annual Columbus Farm Festival on October 2
It’s time again for the Columbus Farm Festival, October 2 from 9am-3pm. Last year, we had an amazing day celebrating the health, family and community that our farmers inspire! We want to recognize our farming history and the wonderful local farmers who bring yummy produce to our Farmers Market every Saturday. We’re also grateful that their farms help our beautiful area stay rural and green, which is why we love it here!

This event is centered around the tailgate market on Courthouse Street, where you can shop for fresh fruits and vegetables, preserves and baked goods. The star attraction is the Rusty Tractor Show. Forget those perfect, shiny restorations. These are the real deal – brought in from fields and barns and sure to mystify most of us about their function. Live music and local talent will entertain in the shadow of our Historic Courthouse. The Overmountain Men will have a Revolutionary War encampment at Stearns Park and there will be a Civil War reenactment. Our animal friends will be represented with carriage rides around town, a petting zoo and a pony parade. Wood fired pizzas and other local food vendors will ensure that you don’t go hungry.

Come out and celebrate our history with a modern day dose of fun and festivities!
