Return to First Peak Home Page
Hello,
The phone rings every day here at the First Peak Visitor Center with folks asking when peak fall color season will happen. While we can't pinpoint the precise day when perfection arrives, we can tell you that we have a long color season, with trees in various degrees of change all around us. It's starting now with the red Dogwoods and Sourwoods. So no matter where you visit in our area, a different color spectrum is right around the corner.
Things peak first in the Saluda area, and then the color rolls down the mountains to greet Tryon and Columbus. It's a gorgeous site to behold, and it usually extends well in to November. So make your plans now to stay a few nights at one of our classic inns or cozy cabins and don't miss this gift from nature.
