Free Studio Tours this Weekend: Art Trek Tryon
We are so blessed to have a huge number of talented artists all around the First Peak of the Blue Ridge, and now you can easily immerse yourself in this community. The Upstairs Artspace has put together a marvelous, free tour of 40 artist studios and galleries – an opportunity that only comes once a year during ART TREK TRYON. Pick up a map and visit all the artists that catch your eye or discover all the artists centered around one of the towns. Or, head to a nook of this beautiful area that you’ve never explored and delve in to the amazing talent that is tucked away but just waiting to be discovered. Download the map or pick one up at the First Peak Visitor Center or several other gathering spots.
You can start with a preview party on Friday night (7/23) at the Upstairs Artspace in Tryon. Then spend Saturday and Sunday (7/24-25) driving from studio to studio. You’ll experience an impressive variety of fine art and craft, including painting, sculpture, pottery, woodturning, fiber art, metalsmithing, and more. All the art is for sale.
Pair the day’s events with a comfortable stay at one of our many local inns, a great meal at one of our locally owned restaurants and one of the many live music options this weekend.
