Wilderness Cove Campground

Camping

We offer wooded, primitive campsites and limited water/electric sites. Each campsite has it's own fire pit and many have their own picnic table. Also available are "sleeper cabins" which are one room units with beds and electricity. We do have a bathhouse with showers on the campground. Two, primitive groups sites are available that allow several tents to be setup in the same area with a large rock fire pit in the center. Reservations are recommended for water/electric sites, group sites and sleeper cabins.

Tubing

River tube rentals are available May through September (weather permitting.) You do not have to camp with us to tube. Our tube rental prices include your shuttle back to the campground. We also run shuttles for anyone that has their own boat. We are open 7 days per week starting at 10:30 Monday - Saturday and at 12:00 on Sundays. Please view our tubing website for more information.

Activities

Our campground adjoins part of the Polk County Gamelands. This provides access for hunting, hiking, and fishing. The Green River is stocked with Trout. Biking, geocaching, and sightseeing are popular pastimes in our area, also. We have river access at the campground plus there are public drop-ins for your kayak or canoe.

Directions

From I-26, take Saluda Exit #59. Turn away from Saluda then take the first left onto Green River Cove Rd. We are 3.5 miles on the right.

For RVs and Buses: Take Tryon Exit #67, go East on Hwy 108. Turn left onto Hwy 9, then take your first left onto Silver Creek Rd. Go 4 miles and turn left onto Green River Cove Rd. Campground will be 7 miles on the left.
