Buttercup Cottage

Enjoy the cool refreshing breezes in the summer and the gorgeous color in the fall at the Buttercup Cottage. This smoke free cottage has two private bedrooms (one with king bed, the other with two twin beds), one bath, separate living room complete with gas fireplace, and fully equipped dine-in kitchen with dishwasher. In addition, there is a large deck with gas grill for "al fresco" dining. For the comfort of our guests, there is a washer and dryer, the cottage is fully heated and air conditioned and all linens are included. We also provide breakfast "fixins" such as coffee, milk, juice, eggs and bread. We even include a jar of our homemade jelly or jam to make your stay a little sweeter. In the summer, we are delighted to share the bounty of our garden where you are welcome to pick your own tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplants, or whatever else is in season. Pet friendly, we welcome dogs (with prior approval). We are located in a quiet neighborhood just .6 mile (an easy walk) from Historic Saluda. There you can stroll back in time along Main Street and find antiques, fine crafts, a wine and cheese shop and even a real old fashioned general store. In addition, you will find restaurants offering the gamut from real southern biscuits and sausage gravy to salads and sandwiches and bar-b-q to a fine dining experience. Convenient to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Biltmore Estate, DuPont Forest, Asheville and Hendersonville and Tryon, our location offers our guests many options for day outings. Spend your days enjoying hiking, antiquing, rafting, and the views along the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Biltmore Estate or visiting some of the historic sites. Then come home and really relax. View the sunset, grill a steak or have a refreshing drink out on the deck.
