FENCE Armchair Traveler

Jan 24 4:00 PM

Join us as herbalist and environmental educator June Ellen Bradley takes FENCE Armchair Travelers on a world tour of Ecuador’s  rain forests on Sunday, January 24th, at 4pm.

The plant lovers trip to Ecuador focuses on the beauty of the jungle, healing plants and the healing ceremonies of the various tribes that live there.  Tour several different bioregions and learn about the way indigenous tribal cultures are handling the oil companies presence.  Learn about the healing ceremonies done by shaman of different tribes. See the two places where the famed panama hats are still woven by hand and be entertained by the people of that region who live by the sea.  Take this amazing journey and witness the change taking place in the Amazon.

In addition to her work for United Plant Savers, June Ellen Bradley is a student of the Adawehi Institute in Columbus, and teaches at The Earthschool in Tryon. She has lectured frequently at FENCE and has just returned from a teaching assignment at the International Herbal Symposium.

The FENCE Armchair Traveler series is offered free of charge with the support of the Kirby Endowment Fund at the Polk County Community Foundation.  Refreshments are served.  For more information, call us at 828-859-9021.
