Aaron Burdett is a long-time favorite of The Purple Onion.  His music is profound and original ranging from melodic acoustic pop to neo-traditional Appalachian mountain tunes.  It covers a commendably diverse lyrical territory for a young songwriter. He writes about love, loss, and relationships, but also ruminates about the more powerful questions we ask ourselves about the human experience, and how we all find meaning and inspiration in our day- to- day lives. He captures themes and moments that might otherwise go unnoticed and unsung and shows how a seemingly ordinary experience can just as easily be described as truly extraordinary. There’s a unique connection between eastern philosophy and western practicality apparent in his particular style of songcraft.
