Rogers Park Summer Tracks Concert Series
The Fire Cracker Jazz Band revitalizes the energy of the roots of Jazz. In paying homage to the pioneers of early 20th Century Jazz, including that of Dixieland and New Orleans, the Firecracker Jazz Band carries the torch that was once lit by such greats as Jelly Roll Morton, Louis Armstrong & Bix Beiderbeck. Come and enjoy this incredible band for the grand finale of this year's Summer Tracks Concert series.
Gates open at 6 p.m. Concerts from 7 to 10 pm. Tracks is produced by the Town of Tryon in affiliation with Peter Eisenbrown of Blockparty Productions. Admission is free, though a voluntary donation at the gate is encouraged. Delicious wood-fired pizzas, home made ice cream, water and soft drinks for sale. Rogers Park
West Howard StThis town park features a 250-seat amphitheater made of stone and a reception/gathering area. A small creek and short trails meander through the park. There are rock walls and beautiful landscaping. Local events and performances are held here including the popular Rogers Park Summer Concert series (check the calendar for performance dates). The two acre facility is located on West Howard Street behind Tryon Town Hall. It can be reserved for private functions.
