If you have never been to Coon Dog Day Festival in Saluda, here is your opportunity!  This year marks the 47th anniversary of this great event that just keeps getting better.

The Day's Events

• The day starts early, at 7:30 am with the Coon Dog Day Breakfast at the Saluda Senior Center (goes until 10 am) 
• At 8 am, there's the Coon Dog Day 5K run.  Register at www.coondogdayrun.com. 
• 8:30  the Green River Boys play gospel music
• 9:15 to 10  Flaco and Ze Clownettes offer an interactive performance for the whole family
• Then, at 9:45 there's the Kid's Coon Dog Day Fun Run, a free fun run with donations to beneift Saluda School's fund for new playground equipment.  
• 10 - 10:30 Coon Dog Day 5K run awards ceremony
• 10:30 - 11:00 Green River Boys are back with more gospel music
• 11 - 12:30 Coon Dog Day Parade with Master of Ceremonies, Hop Foster
• 12:30 - 1 McGuire's Pipe Band--The Bagpipe Showband of the South
• 1-2 pm Sound Investment--60's and 70's Rock & Roll
• 2:20 -3:40 Gary Segal & The To Dye For Band, a tasty gumbo of blues, country, and soul
• 4-5:30 Unspoken Tradtion--Taking blue grass to the next level
• 5:50 - 7:40 Folsom Prison Gang -- music from the Johnny Cash era
• 8-11 pm The Lonesome Road Band will lead us into the night with sounds to dance by for the annual street dance with square dances called by Archie Hardy

• 1 pm Bench Show
• 3 pm Treeing Contest
• 8 pm Annual Night Hunt
