Master Naturalists Walking at Pearson's Falls
Join us at Pearson's Falls on Mondays this spring as Master Naturalists Melissa Le Roy and Tracie Hanson lead guided tours along the trail to the falls. On April 26, we will explore the habitats of many wild flowers hidden under the spring foliage. On May 3rd, your awareness will be expanded regarding the unique geology of the Glen. On May 17, learn about the trees that give this Glen the distinguised designation as a "Deciduous Climax Forest." On May 24, when you leave you will be able to identify the many varieties of fern that reside at Pearson's Falls. This is a rare opportunity to reconnect with and understand the rich and unique offering of flora and fauna contained on this wonderful local attraction. Each tour is expected to last two hours.
Space is limited, so call today to register. Admission is a $5.00 donation for non-Tryon Garden Club members. For more details or to register call 828-749-3031.

Beautiful Pearson's Falls is located in the foothills of Western North Carolina and is comprised of 268 acres of virgin forest, spring-fed streams and a 90 ft. waterfall.
Walk along the glen trail and feel the cool, playful mist from the waterfall that often is in the air. On the way up to the falls, be sure to stop and observe over 200 species of fern, flowering plants, algae and mosses in the wildflower preserve. Or you could sit on one of the benches and feel the peacefulness of this natural sanctuary as you listen to the water and the birds.
